about us

This exhibit was put together by Aaniyah Alexander '25, Sa'De Black '22, Nisha Marino '24, and Van Nguyen '24.

We are a part of the student working group that came out of Fall 2020 Strike Demand #2: "We demand the College adopt a holistic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion and anti-racism in education and practices for the next academic years. " Part of our work is in community outreach, and we noticed this semester that many first-years had heard little to nothing about the strike. We thought an interactive art exhibit would help them to understand what happened on this campus a year ago, as well as to continue the work towards the goals of the strike. We wanted to reflect as many opinions and experiences as possible, and so invited students, faculty, and staff to share art pieces reflecting on the events that occurred almost exactly a year ago. We hope that through this exhibit, the Bryn Mawr College community can continue to understand and develop our history.
